This page explains how AInformation writes, checks and corrects its articles, how the English edition is made, and how you can use the data we collect.
How we write articles
Information about AI tools is everywhere. But much of it still shows old prices and conditions. We follow these five rules when we write.
We read primary sources first
We write from official announcements, official documentation, terms of use and public agencies’ materials. We do not copy other roundup articles. Where a source is needed, we link to it.
We test things ourselves
We check pricing plans and features in the tool’s own dashboard and on its official pricing page. We keep what we found by using a tool separate from what the developer says.
We say when the information is from
Prices and features of AI tools change quickly, so we write in the article when the information was checked. The last updated date is shown at the top of each article.
We show who wrote it
Explainer articles are written and checked by Shunta Fujii. AI news is published under the AInformation name. In both cases, the name is shown at the top of the article.
We also write what a tool cannot do
A list of what a tool can do is not enough to choose one. We also write about limits, uses it is not suited to, and where people tend to get stuck.
We open the pricing page of every AI tool in the AI Tools Directory one by one to check it, and we check them again every 5 days.
Who runs the site
AInformation is run by Shunta Fujii alone. He plans, writes, fact-checks and publishes every article himself. The AInformation editorial team named on articles is the publishing name of this site, not a group of several people. When we ask an outside expert to check an article, we say so in the article.
Updates and corrections
When prices or features change, we update the article. When we add to or rewrite the text, we change the last updated date. When we only change the title or images, we do not change the date. When we find a factual error, we fix it as soon as we notice it.
When a correction changes the meaning, we note in the article what we changed and how. If an article has become too outdated to fix, we may unpublish it.
If you notice an error or outdated information, please tell us through the contact form. We will check it and fix it.
How the English edition is made
AInformation is written in Japanese first. The Japanese pages and data are the original.
The English pages are translated with AI (Anthropic’s Claude). The translation uses a translation memory and a glossary, so the same term is always translated the same way.
Prices, numbers, dates, URLs and the order of items are not translated by AI. They are always read from the same data as the Japanese page. Prices stay in the original currency shown on the official pricing page. We do not convert currencies.
Programs check every translated page before it is published. Numbers and prices must match the Japanese source exactly, no Japanese characters may remain (except in proper names), and links must work. When the Japanese source changes, the old translation of that item is hidden until it is translated again.
A person (the operator) reviews samples of each page type before that type is published. Not every sentence is reviewed by a person. If you find an error, please tell us through the contact form. We will correct it and note the update date.
Some data is collected specifically for English and Spanish readers. The listings in AI Jobs and AI Freelance Gigs come from public employer job boards around the world, not from Japan.
How you can use our data
AInformation collected and counted the following data itself: the prices of the AI tools in our directory, the exam fees and pass rates of AI certifications, salaries in AI job listings, the results of the AI Model Benchmark (the same questions asked many times to major models), the totals of our Original AI Surveys, and the measured results of the AI Practical Work Benchmark (the same tasks given to major AIs). You may use it freely under the following conditions.
- What is covered: The aggregated data we publish (JSON and CSV), and tables and bar charts that show those numbers as they are.
- What is not covered: Article text, photos, the design of our diagrams and the site’s screens. Survey free-text answers quoted in articles are also not covered, because they were written by the respondents themselves. Please use these only within the limits of quotation.
- Other parties’ material: Numbers and text quoted from official pages and press releases, company logos and images provided to us belong to their rights holders. AInformation cannot give permission to use them.
- License: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)
- What you can do: Quote, adapt and redistribute the data in articles, documents, research and apps, including for commercial use.
- What we ask: Credit the source as AInformation and give the URL of the page. If you also say when the data is from, readers will not misunderstand it.

How to read survey numbers
Survey figures are percentages of respondents. People applied and answered on their own, and the results are not weighted. They cannot be described as a percentage of all people in Japan. When you quote them, please add when the survey was done and that the figure is a percentage of respondents. We do not give a margin of error either. How we ran each survey and what we do not know are all shown on each Original AI Surveys page.
Please note
Prices and specifications change. When you publish our numbers as they are, please add the date they were checked. We cannot guarantee that the content is correct.
Article text and images are not covered by this license. To use them beyond the limits of quotation, please contact us through the contact form.
How we handle copyright and the information collected through surveys is also explained in our privacy policy.
