Cookies
Some content on this site uses cookies.
A cookie holds information about your access to web content. It does not include your name, email address, postal address or phone number.
You can turn off cookies in your browser settings.
Advertising
This site uses the advertising service Google AdSense.
This ad provider may use cookies to show ads based on your interests.
For details about Google AdSense, see Google Privacy & Terms.
This site also takes part in affiliate programs. These programs are designed to let sites earn referral fees by introducing products and services.
Through these programs, third parties may provide content and advertising, collect information directly from visitors, and set or recognize cookies in your browser.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics, an analytics tool provided by Google LLC.
Google Analytics uses cookies to collect traffic data. This traffic data is collected anonymously and does not identify individuals. You can refuse this collection by turning off cookies in your browser.
For details, see the Google Analytics Terms of Service.
Spam protection on the contact form
The contact page uses reCAPTCHA by Google LLC to block spam. reCAPTCHA sends information about how you use the page and about your device and browser to Google. Google uses it to tell whether a person is sending the form. This information is handled under Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Affiliate programs
This site uses affiliate programs to introduce products and services offered by third parties (such as Amazon Associates, Rakuten Affiliate, A8.net, ValueCommerce and Moshimo Affiliate). The sellers and providers of the linked products and services are responsible for them. This site does not sell or provide them directly.
Comments
To deal with spam and abuse, we record the IP address used when a comment is posted.
This is a standard feature of the site. We do not use the IP address for anything other than dealing with spam and abuse.
The site operator may delete comments that include any of the following:
- Content that defames or slanders a specific person or company
- Obscene content
- Content about trading prohibited goods, requests to harm others, or requests for or arranging of goods or acts banned by law
- Any other content that goes against public order and morals, or that the operator decides should not be approved
Copyright
Copyright, portrait rights and other rights in the images on this site belong to their owners. We do not intend to infringe these rights.
If there is a problem with an article or an image, the rights holder should contact us through the contact form. We will respond as soon as we have confirmed your identity.
You may not republish the content of this site (articles, images, videos and other programs) without permission. Quoting is fine, but please link to this site and state clearly that the content is quoted from it.
The aggregated data that AInformation collects and publishes itself is an exception to this rule. This means the JSON and CSV files for AI tools, AI certifications, AI jobs, AI freelance gigs, AI use cases, benchmarks and Original AI Surveys, and tables and charts that show those numbers as they are. We publish this data under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). If you credit the source, you may quote, adapt and redistribute it, including for commercial use. The conditions are on our About page. Article text, photos and the design of our diagrams are still covered by the rule above.
Surveys
AInformation runs surveys on how people use generative AI. We publish the results in Original AI Surveys. Taking part is optional, and you can skip any question you do not want to answer.
What we collect
Your answers (the options you choose and any text you write) and a number that identifies respondents on the recruiting service. We do not collect names, addresses or phone numbers. We receive an email address only if you apply to us directly instead of through the recruiting service.
How we use it
For four purposes only: publishing aggregated results, writing articles, judging answer quality (finding duplicate, blank or contradictory answers) and paying rewards. We do not use it to show ads, and we do not sell it to third parties.
What we publish
Only the totals for each question and option (number of answers and percentage). We do not publish who answered what.
What we do not publish
Individual answers, the original text of free-text answers, names, email addresses, account IDs on the recruiting service, and the date and time of each answer. Breakdowns by group are treated as reference only when the group has fewer than 30 people, and are not published when it has fewer than 10. When we quote free-text answers in an article, a person selects them and removes anything that could identify a person or company.
How AI is used
We never pass the answers themselves to outside AI services. When we use AI to polish wording, we pass it only aggregated results that may be published and the conditions of the survey. All calculations are done by programs. AI does not do the counting.
How long we keep it
We delete the answers themselves after two years. We keep the aggregated results and the published versions. These contain no information that can identify respondents.
Withdrawing your answers
If you want your answers removed from the results, please contact us through the contact form. We remove them if we can confirm them by your number on the recruiting service, or by the date and content of your answers. Results that have already been published are recounted in the next version. Once the answers themselves have been deleted, we can no longer tell which answers are yours, so we cannot accept a withdrawal request.
Newsletter
We send a newsletter that rounds up AI news. Signing up is optional. You can use every page without signing up.
How to sign up
We accept sign-ups through the contact form. The email address you enter in the newsletter box on our pages is carried over to the contact form.
What we collect
What you enter in the contact form: your name and email address, plus your company name, phone number and message if you provide them.
How we use it
Only to send you the newsletter and to contact you about your sign-up. We do not share it with or sell it to third parties.
Where it is stored
The form arrives as an email to the site operator. It is not stored in this site’s database, and we do not use an external email delivery service. If we change how the newsletter is sent, we will update this page first.
How to unsubscribe
Send “Unsubscribe from the newsletter” through the contact form. We stop sending it after that.
AI Price Watch email notifications
AI Price Watch sends you an email when the official price or the free usage allowance of an AI you selected changes. Signing up is optional. You can use every page without signing up.
What we keep
Your email address, the AIs and plans you selected, the number of users, and the dates and times of sign-up and sending. We do not keep names, company names, addresses or phone numbers.
How we use it
Only to tell you that the price or the free usage allowance of the AIs you selected has changed. We do not send other announcements or advertising emails. We do not give or sell it to third parties.
How sign-up is confirmed
After you apply, we send one confirmation email. Sign-up is not complete until you click the link in that email. Applications that are not confirmed are deleted after 7 days.
When we do not send emails
We do not send an email when only the yen amount has moved because of exchange rates. We also do not send one when our editors have only rechecked a record.
How to unsubscribe
Click the link in any of our emails once and the emails stop. You can also stop them with the unsubscribe function of your email app.
Where and how long we keep it
We store it in a database on this site’s server. We do not use an outside email delivery service. Records are deleted 35 days after you unsubscribe, because the law requires us to keep the record of your consent for one month after sending stops.
Preventing misuse
To stop repeated sign-ups from the same source, we use a code that identifies the source for up to one day. We do not store the IP address itself.
Sender
AInformation (operator: Shunta Fujii). Emails come from price-watch@ainformation.jp, which is send-only. For questions, please use the contact form.
