Looked different but was not a price change (29 tools)

These looked different from the previous check because of how discounts were shown, a switch in display currency, or monthly and yearly prices swapping places. AInformation read both days' pricing pages and confirmed that the official price did not change. They are not counted as increases or cuts.

  • Not a price changeCaptionsThe free plan's scope has not changed. On both dates there were no AI credits and only 1 caption template; the previous reading had missed the caption template countChecked on Oct 27
  • Not a price changeClaude CodeThe free plan still exists. The October 27 page also lists Free ($0, offered free to all customers), so reading it as having no free plan was a reading errorChecked on Oct 27

FAQ

How do you track AI tool price increases?

AInformation opens each company's official pricing page every 5 days and records the prices shown that day exactly as they are. If the price differs from the previous check, we read the text of both days' pricing pages side by side to tell whether it is a price increase, a price cut, or just a change in how a discount is shown. We do not list anything we cannot judge.

Which currency are the prices in?

Prices stay in the currency shown on each company's official pricing page. We do not show prices converted at exchange rates. When you pick AIs priced in different currencies, the total is shown separately for each currency.

Which AI tools have raised their official prices recently?

In our records from September 11, 2026 to October 27, 2026, these official prices went up. Munch Essential went from $58 to $68 a month. Tango Pro(1 - 2 users) went from $26 to $30 a month.

Have any AI tools changed what you can use for free?

Yes. Felo: The free plan's 200 daily bonus credits became a gift only for new users and only during the campaign period, and the mention of 5 pro searches per day was also removed. Ideogram: The “Free plan $0” column has disappeared from the pricing table and has been replaced by “Pay as you go,” usage-based billing at 1¢ per credit. The weekly slow credits that used to come free are also now shown as “—.” Grain: On the free plan, the 45-minute-per-recording limit and 30-day history stayed the same, but file uploads went from “None” to “5 manual” (up to 5 files) Botpress: The number of conversations available on the free plan increased from 25 to 100. Free plan limits are copied word for word from each company's official page.

How far back do the records go?

Since September 11, 2026. We have checked 10 times so far. We do not list earlier prices, because we cannot confirm what the official pages showed at the time. The record grows by one entry with each check.

Do I need to sign up to use it?

No. Just pick the AI tools you use and you get the total and breakdown right away. The combination you pick goes into the page URL, so you can share it as it is.

What do AI tools typically cost?

Among the 216 tools whose cheapest paid plan is priced monthly in US dollars, the median is $19 a month. The most common band is $10–$20 a month, with 81 tools (38%). The lowest is $2.99 a month and the highest $450 a month.

Which currencies are AI tool prices shown in?

Of the 507 tools, 216 list their cheapest paid plan in US dollars, 32 in Japanese yen and 3 in euros. Another 256 do not show a price or have not been checked yet. The typical prices on this page are not converted between currencies; they count only the tools priced in US dollars.

How many AI tools can you use for free?

Of all tools, 250 (49%) have a ¥0 plan on their pricing page. Among the most searched tools, the share with a free plan rises to 72%. The more widely used a tool is, the more likely you can try it for free.

Are well-known AI tools more expensive?

It was the opposite. The 22 tools priced in US dollars that are searched 500 times a month or more have a median monthly price of $17.50; the other 194 tools have a median of $19. The frequently searched tools turned out to be 8% cheaper.

Which kind of AI tool is the most expensive?

Customer support tools are the most expensive, with a median of $42.50 a month (8 tools). The cheapest are Music tools at $10 a month (7 tools), a 4.3x difference.

How we keep this record

AInformation opens each company's official pricing page every 5 days and records the prices shown that day exactly as they are. It covers the 307 tools in the AI tool database whose prices we could read on their pricing pages. We started recording on September 11, 2026. Earlier prices are not included. AIs from overseas companies that only list prices in Japanese yen are records of Japanese pricing pages, so they are not included on this page.

  • We record only the prices written on the pricing page that day. We never make up numbers that are not on the page, such as dividing a yearly price by 12
  • We record monthly and yearly prices separately. We never count a price increase by comparing a monthly price with a yearly one
  • If a price differs from the previous check, we compare the text of both days' pricing pages. Changes only in how discounts or the display currency are shown are not counted as price changes
  • We do not list anything we cannot judge. Price changes in add-ons bought separately, such as translation options, are not counted as plan price increases
  • Prices are in the currency shown on the official page. We do not show prices converted at exchange rates. Prices in different currencies are not added together; we total them by currency
  • The “current price” shown here comes from the AI tool database. We use the same figures as the AI Pricing Comparison
