About us
Information about AI toolsgoes out of date fast.
Prices and available features change within months. Even so, it is easy to find articles still showing old figures.
Keeping this up to date is AInformation's job. This page lists in full who checked and wrote what.
Launched in November 2024. Today is day 728.
Who writes this site
Since 2023, my main work has been helping companies adopt generative AI. I have brought AI into 60 or more companies and built 120 or more business automations. I have led 60 sessions of corporate training in total, with 2,500 or more attendees.
What you learn from using a tool on the job is quite different from what the official site says: it takes more work than expected, accuracy drops in Japanese, and the pricing terms are full of fine print. This site covers exactly those things.
I have done hands-on web marketing (ads, SEO, social media) since 2019. That's where I picked up the habit of making decisions based on numbers.
Areas of expertiseUsing generative AI at work and making it stick in the company / AI agents and workflow automation (Claude Code, Dify, n8n) / Prompt design / RAG and using internal knowledge / AI search optimization / Training AI talent
How the site is runShunta Fujii runs AInformation on his own. He does everything himself, from planning and writing articles to fact-checking and publishing. The byline “AInformation” on articles is this site's publishing name, not a group of several people. When we ask an outside expert to review an article, we say so in the article.
Using the data we collect
AInformation collected and counted all of the following itself: pricing for 507 AI tools, exam fees and pass rates for 73 AI certifications, annual salaries in 2,729 AI job listings, results of a benchmark that gave 8 leading models the same 25 questions, 600 times in all, tallies from 3 rounds of Original AI Surveys, measured results from 784 trials giving the same tasks to 4 leading AIs. You can use them freely under the terms below.
- What is coveredThe aggregated data we publish (JSON, CSV), plus tables and bar charts that show those numbers as they are.
- What is not coveredArticle text, photos, diagram designs and the site's interface. Text from open-ended survey answers quoted in articles is also excluded, because the respondents themselves wrote it. Please use these only to the extent allowed for quotation.
- Third-party contentFigures and text quoted from official pages and press releases, company logos, and images provided to us belong to their respective rights holders. AInformation cannot grant permission to use them.

- What it can doQuoting in articles, documents, research and apps, modifying and redistributing. Commercial use is also allowed.
- What we askCredit the source as “AInformation” and include the page URL. If you also note the date of the data, readers won't be misled.

To see everything at once: https://ainformation.jp/data/index.json (a list of counts and update dates) - How to cite survey figuresThese are shares among respondents. People who signed up answered on their own, and no weighting is applied. You can't write “X% of Japanese people.” When quoting, include the survey date and say it is X% of respondents. No margin of error (±X%) is given either. How we surveyed and what we don't know are all listed on each page of our Original AI Surveysare shown in full on each page.
- Please keep in mindPrices and specs change. If you reproduce our numbers as they are, include the date they were checked. We cannot guarantee that the content is accurate.
Article text and images are not covered by this license. To use them beyond what quotation allows, please get in touch through our Contact page. How we handle copyright and the information collected through our surveys is also explained in our Privacy policy.
How we make our articles
Information about AI tools is everywhere. But a lot of it still shows outdated prices and terms. We follow these 5 rules when we write.
-
Check primary sources first
We base our articles on developers' official announcements and documentation, terms of use and materials from public agencies. We do not copy other roundup articles. Wherever a source is needed, we add a link.
-
Check by actually using it
We check pricing plans and features in the tool's dashboard and on the official pricing page. We keep what we learned from hands-on use separate from what the official sources say.
-
Say when the information is from
AI tool prices and features change fast, so each article states when its information is from. The last-updated date appears at the top of each article.
-
Name the writer
Explainer articles are written and checked by Shunta Fujii. AI news is published under the name “AInformation.” Both show the name at the top of the article.
-
Write what it can't do, too
A list of what a tool can do isn't enough to choose one. We also write about its limits, the uses it isn't suited for and where people tend to get stuck.
Updates and corrections
When prices or features change, we update the article. When we add to or rewrite the text, we update the last-updated date; when we only change the title or images, we leave the date as it is. When we find a factual error, we fix it as soon as we notice.
When a correction changes the meaning, we note in the article what we fixed and how. Articles that have become outdated and can no longer be fixed may be unpublished.
If you notice an error or outdated information, please let us know through the Contact form. We will check it and fix it.
How we handle ads and affiliate links
The site's running costs are covered by advertising. We state up front where the money comes from.
We run Google AdSense ads. Google decides what is shown; we don't choose it. Some articles contain affiliate links, and those articles say at the top that they include advertising.
We also accept advertising and sponsored articles. Articles we create for a fee are labeled as PR in the article itself.
Whether or not we earn a commission does not change our ratings. We choose the services we feature after actually using them. We never change the order of our recommendations because a service pays more. Rankings and recommendations in our articles are based on price, features, Japanese support and ease of use.
